Our team at Sterlingdental has always been focused on modern family dentistry. We want to do everything we can to make sure your family is healthy and happy, but we understand that having healthy teeth isn’t always enough to make a patient happy with their smile.
Cosmetic dentistry is what we call the feel-good aspect of dentistry. Procedures like whitening or the use of veneers are always elective, but we know that for some patients, they feel like a necessity.
Whitening is a relatively quick and easy way to give your smile
a makeover. We offer in-office whitening as well as at-home bleaching
trays. With the in-office procedure, we apply a whitenning solution to your teeth and expose them to a high-intensity UV light to
help accelerate the whitening process. For at-home brightening, we create whitening trays using an impression of your teeth to give you
a perfect fit for a gel application. Together, we can decide which process is best for you and your smile.
Dental veneers are thin layers of tooth-coloured material,
a special porcelain. They’re bonded to the surface of
the tooth and don’t require extensive removal of the tooth structure. Veneers can be used to whiten your smile, especially if your teeth
have been stained by things like fluorosis or prescription medication. Veneers can also be used to drastically improve the appearance of
teeth by aligning them, filling in gaps, repairing chipped or broken teeth, or lengthening and reshaping teeth, and all of this can be
accomplished in just two visits and can usually be done without any needles.
Whitening, veneers, and other cosmetic dentistry procedures like tooth reshaping, white fillings, or gum lifts are steps we can take together to make sure your teeth are everything you want them to be. With modern cosmetic dentistry procedures and a skilled dentistry team, there’s no reason you should settle for a subpar smile.
